Long-term
disability insurance: No Cost
If you’re unable to work because of a sickness or injury, long-term disability insurance helps protect your income while you recover at home. After you have been disabled for 12 months, you may qualify for a monthly benefit of 50% of your base pay up to $20,000 per month. This is an employer-sponsored benefit at no cost to you.
Also, you may purchase a low-cost “buy-up option” as a new employee or during our annual open enrollment for 60% of your base pay, up to $20,000 per month.
Permanent Life Insurance Plan with a Long-Term Care Rider through Trustmark
Long-term care helps support you when you can’t do daily activities (such as bathing, dressing, or grooming) on your own. No matter what care you choose, you’ll have the support to live life on your terms.
In 2023, the annual median cost for long-term care ranged from $24,700 to $116,800 — depending on the service. Unfortunately, costs aren’t covered by Medicare or private health insurance. And Medicaid only kicks in after you’ve depleted your assets.
With Long-Term Care with Life Insurance, you get: An expense benefit for personal care Life insurance to financially protect your loved ones Coverage that adjusts to your personal circumstances
